West Middlesex, Pennsylvania - Yvonne June Hassell, 94, Hubbard Middlesex Road, West Middlesex, passed away at St. Paul Home, Greenville on July 16, 2025.

Born in Wheatland, June 7, 1931 to the late Frank and Isabell Turner Karr. She married William Paul Hassell, June 10, 1950 and he preceded her in death, Sept. 2, 1995.

Yvonne was a graduate of Sharon High School and attended Youngstown University and Butler Institute, handwriting. She worked over 31 years for Sharon Regional in the anesthesia department.

Yvonne loved to travel and enjoyed reading and jigsaw puzzles. Most important was time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Yvonne was the first lady to serve as a trustee at Lebanon Presbyterian Church. She was the first lady to serve on the West Middlesex School Board. She was formerly chairman of the Shenango Park.

Yvonne served 11 years on the Mercer County Juvenile Court hearing cases. She was past president of Sharon Regional Retirees group.

Survivors include three sons, Reid (Carol) Hassell, Clayton, North Carolina, Douglas (Gale) Hassell, Volant, Brian (Angela) Hassell, Hermitage; a daughter-in-law, Marsha Hassell, Hubbard, Ohio, 12 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, Yvonne is preceded in Death by a son, Craig Hassell; a sister, Phyllis Grove; and two brothers, Walter and Howard Karr.
