West Middlesex, Pennsylvania - Virginia Lee "Gini" Barris, 79, of West Middlesex, passed away at UPMC Jameson Hospital, New Castle, on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026.

She was born on Nov. 8, 1946, in Sharon to Arnold L. Barris Jr. and Alice J. Swartz Barris. Gini was a 1964 graduate of West Middlesex Area Schools and graduated from the Shenango Valley Commercial Institute with an Accounting degree.

Gini was proud to work alongside her family in both the West Middlesex Dairy Queen and eventually as president of Arnold L. Barris Trucking Inc.

She was a member of the West Middlesex United Methodist Church, where she served as past treasurer, VBS teacher, on the Church Council and sang in the choir. She was very active in the Farrell Order of the Eastern Star #156.

Gini enjoyed traveling, crafting, spending time on the Allegheny River, hot-air balloon rides, collecting butterflies and snow babies.

Survivors include one sister, Ruthy Kirila, Port St. Lucie, Fla.; nephews, Robert J. Barris, West Middlesex, Joseph (Shannon) Kirila, Brookfield, Ohio, Jerry (Marcy) Kirila, Fowler, Ohio; niece, Julie Kirila, Transfer; niece-in-law, Ginger Kirila, Port St. Lucie, Fla.; cousin and partner at Barris Trucking, Jerry (Tiger) Barris, West Middlesex; and several great-nephews and -nieces.

Gini was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Arnold "Buddy" Barris III; and nephew Gene Kirila II.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday (1-15-26) at The United Methodist Church of West Middlesex, with Pastor Kelley Schanely and former pastor Rev. Wade Barto officiating.

Interment: Haywood Cemetery, West Middlesex.
