Viola A. Harpst Obituary

Fredonia - Viola A. (Munnell) Harpst, Fredonia, Delaware Township, passed away early Saturday morning, May 3, 2005, at her residence. She was 86.

She was born in Grove City Sept. 14, 1938, the daughter of Clifford and Francis (King) Munnell.

She was a graduate of the former Fredonia-Delaware High School.

On April 30, 1960, she married Raymond L. Harpst, who preceded her in death Dec. 18, 2020.

Viola had been employed at the former Greenville Steel Car, the Reynolds High School, Palmer Pools, and Sakrete. While raising her children, she was active in Girl Scouts, 4 H and attended and supported their many sports activities. She was a member of the Fredonia United Methodist Church and the Fredonia - Delaware Alumni Association.

She is survived by her four children, Rex Harpst, Imperial, Pa.; Rachelle Harpst, St. Louis, Mo.; Renita (Mark) Robertson, Virginia Beach, Va.; and Rod (Shannon) Harpst, Pittsburgh; six grandchildren, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Jaclyn, Madilyn, Derek, and Nicolyn Harpst.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 60 years, Raymond L. Harpst, and three brothers, William C. Munnell, James Munnell, and Gaylord Munnell.
