Winston Salem, NC - Vincent Patrick Barry Jr., of Winston-Salem, N.C., passed away peacefully Nov. 1, 2025, in Trellis Hospice Center in Winston-Salem. He was 78.

Vince was born Nov. 15, 1946, in Greenville, to Vincent Patrick Barry Sr. and Gloria Dawn Rutter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Patricia Barry Smith and Rose Anne Nelson; his brother, John Barry; and his daughter, Tammy Lynn Tamsula.

He is survived by his loving wife, Thuy Thanh Truong Thi; his sister, Mary Ellen Barry Gill; his daughter; Teresa M. Benson and her husband Christopher Todd Benson; and his grandchildren, Patrick Glenden Tamsula and fiancée Courtney Lynn Frisch, Arianna Marie Clarke and husband Robert Edward Jedidiah Clarke, Amanda Elizabeth Cowell and husband Joshua James Cowell, Holly Ann Tamsula, and Christopher Brian Benson and wife Lexie Leigh Benson.

Vince was also blessed with great-grandchildren Ethan Vince Tamsula, Robert Bentley Clarke, Jedidiah Levi Clarke, Athena Grace Brocato, Wyleigh Marie Benson, Luna Lynx Tamsula, Jackson Joseph Cowell, and Miles Patrick Cowell. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends, including his best friend Forrest Moore.

Vince deeply loved and adored his wife, Thuy. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and remained a devoted patriot throughout his life. Family meant everything to him, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand. Vince also had a lifelong passion for fast cars, which grew through his years working in the automotive business.

He will be remembered for his generosity, strength, and unwavering love for his family and country.
