Verna I. Weyer Obituary

Verna I. Weyer, 77, of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at home with her family by her side.

Verna was born May 10, 1946, to Hazel Hazlett in Farrell.

She was a graduate of Farrell High School.

Verna worked in the maintenance department for the YMCA.

On Sept. 9, 2000, she married her husband, George T. Weyer, who survives her at home.

She was of Lutheran faith.

Verna loved children's soccer so much it led her to sponsor many soccer teams at the YMCA in Hermitage. In addition, she loved spotting deer and finding wild turkey.

Verna is survived by her husband at home; sons, Christopher and Jonerik Germadnik; daughter, Amy Jo Welton; one sister, two brothers, grandchildren and great-grandchildren,

She was preceded in death by her mother and two brothers.



WEYER

Verna I., 77, of Sharpsville.

Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday (4-25-24) in DONALDSON-MOHNEY FUNERAL HOME, 124 W. Main St., Sharpsville.

Services: 6 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Steve Sherman II, officiating.

Burial: Hillcrest Memorial Park.
