Timothy R. "Tim" Engle, 72, of Grove City, passed at home under hospice care on Saturday, March 29, 2025, following a 3-year illness.

Known as "Tim" or to his good friends as "Tweenie," Tim was born in Grove City, on March 6, 1953, to Wayne C. and Joan (Coulter) Engle. He married Carol A. Zigo on July 20, 2002.

Tim graduated from Grove City High School in 1971 and later attended Youngstown State University.

He was a member of the Army National Guard First Battalion 229th; a sergeant serving from 1973 to 1979.

Tim was a member of and was raised in Tower Presbyterian Church.

He retired in 2020 after being public works director for Pine Township since 1999. Twenty-three years of Tim's working career was spent at the former ModCom Electronics Store in Grove City.

Tim enjoyed following NASCAR, his many years spent at Paxton's hunting camp in Tionesta, his own camp in Tylersburg and spending time waterskiing with the Grove City Boat Club at Tionesta Reservoir.

He loved his family, friends, Friday nights spent at Rudy's and hanging out in his garage having a few beers with his buddies.

He is survived by his wife Carol; two stepchildren, Joshua (Nikki) Thompson, Grove City, and Alyssa Zigo, New Orleans, La., a sister, Jo Ellen Engle, Jackson Center, a brother Curtis W. (Sue Marvar) Engle, Apollo Beach, Fla.; and his beloved dog, Caj.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
