Mercer, PA - Shirley E. Filer, 65, of Mercer, passed away Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, at AHN Grove City.
She was born on June 8, 1960, in New Castle, to the late Earl Edward and Barbara Gail "Gilliland" Filer.
She graduated from Mercer Area High School in the class of 1979.
Shirley owned her own restaurant, and was always waitressing and bartending.
She enjoyed going to camp with her fiancé, Jim Jones; it was their home away from home.
She enjoyed being in the kitchen, cooking up nice meals for those around her. She was always willing to give a helping hand to those who needed it.
Shirley is survived by her fiancé, Jim Jones; three siblings, Richard (Darlene) Filer, Mark "Dink" (Missy) Filer and Mary (Dana) Scheppelmann; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her parents preceded her in death.
