Sarah L. Herrman Buckley ('Sally') Obituary
Sharpsville, PA - Sarah L. "Sally" Herrmann Buckley, 77, of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully surrounded in love by her family on Tuesday April 7, 2026 in Jameson Hospital, New Castle.
Sally was born on Feb. 10, 1949, in Sharon to Bertha (Wilhelm) and Francis Herrmann. She was a graduate of Sharpsville High School and Youngstown State University.
On Feb. 6, 1971, she married her husband, Robert C. Buckley, who survives at home.
Prioritizing her family, Sally was a stay-at-home Mom. Later, she was employed part-time at several retail outlets. She also worked as a substitute teacher and at MGC, Sharpsville, as a Therapeutic Support Staff member.
Her best "job" (enjoyment) was the years that she was able to watch her young grandchildren a couple days a week.
In her younger years, Sally was an active member of the Western Reserve Fish and Game Protective Association. She was always involved in her children's school activities.
Sally was a long-time member of St. Bartholomew Church and most recently St. Joseph Church in Sharon.
Sally enjoyed traveling and often accompanied her husband to meetings and conferences throughout the United States including Hawaii. She especially enjoyed traveling with her sister, Sister Barbara, to Germany to visit her German relatives. Sally enjoyed sewing and cross stitching and attending her grandchildren's sporting events and cheering them on. She was deeply devoted to loving and caring for her family. She was an immensely proud and loving Nana.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Brenda (Michael) Williamson of Washington, Pa.; daughter-in-law, Amy Ferrell of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, Marin, Eden, and Jonah Williamson; her sister, Sister Barbara Herrmann H.M.; sisters-in-law Margie (Gary) Rose, Connie (Curt) Bastide, Tamiko Herrmann; brothers-in-law, William J. (Jane) Buckley, Dale Hauger; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, William F. Buckley; grandson, Michael Williamson; brothers, Paul, Harold, and Leo Herrmann; and sisters Caroline Herrmann and Jean Hauger.
