Samuel Salem Obituary
Samuel J. Salem Jr., of Hubbard, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 at home. He was 67.
Samuel was born Dec. 8, 1948 in Farrell, a son of Samuel J. Sr. and Pearl McWhirter Salem.
He was a 1966 graduate of West Middlesex High School.
Samuel was an electrician for 35 years at Sharon Steel.
He was a member of Corner House Christian Church, and a longtime member of Hubbard Lions Club and enjoyed all of their activities.
Samuel will be sadly missed by his family: his wife, the former Terry L. Olson, whom he married Nov. 21, 1975; his mother, Pearl Salem, Sharon; his son, Jack (Jill) Mortaro, Girard; his daughter, Anissa (Darren) Richmond, Youngstown; and his grandchildren, Ashley, Lauren, Mary and Michael.
He also leaves his sisters, Mary (Jack) Ost, Sharon; Joanne Derr, Masury; Linda Gardlock, Elyria, Ohio; and Gloria (Richard) Kovach, Masury, and his brother, James (Lynn) Salem, Sunshine, Fla.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Samuel P. Salem.
