Roy R. Conway
Roy R. Conway, of Transfer, formerly of New Castle, passed away unexpectedly at 8:08 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, in UPMC Horizon, Greenville. He was 77.
He was born Nov. 29, 1941, in New Castle, a son of Earl E. Conway and Hazel (Heimes) Conway.
Roy attended New Castle Schools and worked at Dean's Dairy as a dock man for 35 years. He also served in the U.S. Army.
Roy enjoyed old western movies and spending time with his grandkids. He was a self-proclaimed comedian.
He is survived by five daughters, Dawn Fry of Transfer, Samantha Van Dyke and her husband Kevin of Mercer, Tammy Reid-Gramsky and her husband Walter of Transfer, Dee Hagan McKay and her husband Dave of Transfer, and Cheryl Barrecca of Greenville; a sister, Laura Crawford of New Castle; a brother, James B. Conway of New Castle; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Loxie E. (Billett) Conway, whom he married April 10, 1976, and who died April 8, 2007; a sister, Patricia Conway; two brothers, Frank and Arthur Conway; and a son-in-law, Bill Hagan Sr.

Burial: America's Cemetery.
