Rouxanne Hoffman, 63, of Hermitage, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, in her home.
Rouxanne was born July 18, 1961, to M. Lorraine (Latterner) and Robert F. Hoffman, Sr., in Sharon.
She was born with Down Syndrome and attended Farrell schools in her early years. She was enrolled in the MCAR system in Hermitage, later changing to Whole Life Services, Hermitage, where she made many friends.
Roxy was known and loved everywhere she went.
She was of the Catholic faith.
She loved dancing, swimming, camping, playing her guitar while singing (she loved entertaining everyone), making art, and painting. Two of her pieces were selected to hang in the ARC headquarters in Silver Springs, Md.
Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.
Her sisters, Marilyn and Sylvia, were honored to serve as co-guardians since 2004.
She is survived by her sisters, Marilyn (John) Bornes of Hermitage, Terrie (Ron) Lutheran of Transfer, Sylvia (Bill) Hilko of Transfer, Paula Zajac of Rouseville, Pa., Kimberly Vasconi of Sharpsville, Shelly (Tom) Patton of
Sharpsville; brother, Lynn (Debbie) Hoffman of Cincinnati, Ohio; 23 nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Rouxanne was preceded in death by her parents;, brothers, Robert F. Hoffman, Jr., S. Joe Hoffman; sister, Dianne Holzshu; nephews, David Bornes and Andy Hoffman; and niece, Bonnie Hilko.
Her family would like to thank Rouxanne's caregivers in Hermitage. They became her second family and certainly loved her. A special thank you to all the amazing people involved in her life at Whole Life Services for
their kindness and care, as well as Kristi Mentzer and Kelly Tice who worked with Roxy from Mercer County.
