Ronald G. "Ron" Dickson, 78, of Grove City, passed away Monday evening, March 10, 2025, at AHN Grove City following a period of declining health.
Ron was born on Sept. 10, 1946, in Grove City to Glenn L. and Helen B. (Gahagan) Dickson. Ron married Darlene K. DeLong on Nov. 5, 1982. She preceded him in death on March 9, 2018.
He was a graduate of Grove City High School, and he retired as a union carpenter, working his entire career in construction.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1895, VFW Post 519 and American Legion Post 220, all of Grove City.
Ron is survived by three children, Kenneth (Anne) Dickson, Windsor, Colo., Marcy (Shawn) Smith, Greenville, and Scott (Shelley) Dickson, Wheatland; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Lou (Tom) Baumgardner; and a brother, Larry Dickson.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Daniel Vestal; a sister, Nancy Jo Dickson; and a stepdaughter, Melisa "Missy" Gills.
