Rodney F. 'Hot Rod' Mollard Obituary

Rodney F. "Hot Rod" Mollard Sr., Fornelli Manor, Linden Street, Sharon, passed away at 7:56 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, in the emergency room of Sharon Regional Health System after an extended illness. He was 58. Rodney was born July 19, 1952, in Sharon, the son of Earl K. and Elizabeth Bertha Foor Mollard. A lifelong area resident, he attended Sharon schools. Rodney worked at Jones Performance, West Middlesex, and prior to that he had worked for several local restaurants including the Unique, Hickory Grille and the Cookery, all in Hermitage. He was of the Baptist faith. His favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys and his favorite NASCAR drivers were Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Dale Earnhardt Sr. He always loved to shoot pool and play bingo. He served with the National Guard. Rodney is survived by: his son, Rodney F. Mollard Jr.; his grandson, Isaac Alexander Mollard, both of Sharon; two sisters, Patricia Porterfield and her husband Henry "Sonny" Porterfield, Sharon; and Diane F.
