Sharon, PA - Robert L. "Bob" Porterfield, 73, of Hermitage, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 7, 2025.

Mr. Porterfield was born Nov. 1, 1951, in Sharon, a son of the late Henry Porterfield and Jenetta (Ward) Howard. He attended Sharon High School and honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves.

Following his honorable discharge, he worked locally as a handyman, doing anything from cleaning to mowing.

An avid sports fan, he loved the Cleveland Browns and Indians, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

He is survived by his wife, the former Linda Wahl, whom he married on June 4, 2010; five daughters, Crystal Porterfield, Bobbie Porterfield, both of Sharon, Jenetta Christy (Adrian), of Hubbard, Ohio, Laverne Curtis, of Jonesboro, Ga., and Tabatha Reno, of Lexington, N.C.; son, Floyd Mollard, of Masury, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Darlene Luzar, of Howland, Ohio; and three brothers, Michael Porterfield, of Nesbit, Miss., Chucky Porterfield (Tammy), of Sharon, and Rodney Porterfield, of Hubbard, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a son, Bradley Mahdinec; four sisters, Gail Boles, Sherrie Stone, Dorothy Burnett and Crystal Porterfield; and a brother, Henry Porterfield.
