New Wilmington, Pennsylvania - Robert Wayne Cheney of Grange Road, New Wilmington, passed away at UPMC Jameson Hospital on Friday evening, Aug. 8, 2025.

Bob was born in Sharon, March 19, 1959, to the late Joe and Virginia Miller Cheney. He was a graduate of West Middlesex High School, class of 1977.

He was raised in the Methodist church and was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time at his camp in Marienville. He enjoyed helping friends and family.

Survivors include five brothers, Wallace (Linda) Cheney, Hermitage, Harold (Michaelene) Cheney, Mercer, Ronald (Sandra) Cheney, Brookfield, Ohio, Larry (Cathy) Cheney, Williamsburg, Va., and Dean (Kim) Cheney, West Middlesex, also surviving are several nieces and nephews and a great-nephew.

In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by a brother, Richard Cheney, and an infant nephew, Ricky C. Cheney.

Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, (8-14-25) at The SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 3126 Main St., West Middlesex.

Services: 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pastor Kelley Schanely, pastor of the United Methodist Church of West Middlesex, will officiate.
