Robert J. Callahan, 75, of Greenville, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 4:15 a.m. in Select Specialty Hospital in Boardman.
Robert was born in Tarentum, Pa., on Oct. 20, 1948, to Ralph and Twila Jane (Vanderslice) Callahan.
Bob was a machinist at the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad for 30 years. He then was a truck driver for the Greenville Area School District cafeteria for 18 years.
He was a member of the Greenville Christian Missionary Alliance Church and a volunteer at the Good Shepherd, both of Greenville. He enjoyed walking and playing cornhole.
He was married to the former A. Sherrill (Westover) Callahan on March 28, 1975, and she survives at home.
Robert is also survived by his daughter, Sheila (and her husband, Peter) Marcucci of Hermitage; son Shawn Callahan of Crown Point, Ind.; two grandchildren, Sydney Callahan of Crown Point, Ind.; and Dominic Marcucci of Hermitage; and a brother, Ronald Callahan of Greenville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: three brothers, Sonny; Charles and Jack Callahan and sister, Lillian Schierberl.
