Hermitage, PA - Richard Norman Iversen, 74, of Hermitage, passed away peacefully with his wife at his side on May 6, 2026, at Avalon Springs Nursing Home.

He was born on July 1, 1951, in Sharon, to Norman and Jeanne Iversen.

Richard graduated from Hickory High School in 1969. He was a mechanic for Bridgestone Firestone Automotive and retired in 2013.

Richard married Sherry Iversen on Sept. 11, 1981, and she survives at home. They shared 45 wonderful years of marriage.

Richard was a lifelong resident of Hermitage.

He enjoyed spending time in Tionesta, hunting with his friends.

He liked working on cars in his garage and mowing his grass. He was very proud of his immaculate yard.

More than anything, Richard cherished time spent with his family.

In addition to his wife at home, Richard is survived by two sons, William Iversen of Mercer; and Greg (Christina) Iversen of Reedsville, W.Va.; two sisters, Patricia Iversen of London, Ohio; and Susan Davis of Sterling Heights, Mich.; and two beloved grandsons, Will Iversen and Owen Iversen.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions can be made to the donors' choice.

Services: None, in keeping with Richard's wishes.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
