It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul David "P.D." Gregg, a beloved member of the Wheeling, W.Va., theatre community.

P.D. was born on Feb. 29, 1964, in Grove City and took his final bow on March 13, 2025, at WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital. At the age of 61, P.D. left this world having touched the lives of many through his dedication to the craft he dearly loved.

P.D. was a 1982 graduate of Grove City Area High School and a 1987 graduate of Grove City College.

A gifted and passionate Technical Director at Oglebay Institute's Towngate Theatre, P.D. lived and breathed the theatre. His commitment to creating magic behind the scenes brought countless productions to life and left an indelible mark on all who witnessed his brilliance.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, P.D. was first and foremost a devoted husband and a much-loved son and adored uncle.

He will be profoundly missed by his loving wife, Diana "Dee" Gregg, and his parents, George and Carol Ann Gregg. Additionally, P.D.'s brother, Tim (Connie) Gregg, his nieces and nephew, and his cherished Wheeling Theatre Community are left to cherish his memory. P.D.'s loyal and loving feline companions, Calliope Jayne, Bailey Catticus, and Adeline Jade, will also miss his gentle presence.

The last curtain call for P.D. was on March 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and love. A "Celebration of Life" service for P.D. will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Towngate Theatre. Friends and family are invited to honor his remarkable life and bid farewell to a man who brought so much joy to those around him.
