Sharon - Patricia Ann Green, Sharon, passed away Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, in UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh. She was 81.

Mrs. Green was born August 24, 1944, in Espyville, Pa.

On July 2, 1983, she married Russell "Buddy" Green, who passed away April 20, 2017.

For many years, Patricia ran her own daycare, which she referred to as the happiest time of her life. The children she cared for were extremely fortunate to have her as their caregiver, and she remained in contact with many of the families over the years.

Patricia loved animals, especially horses and her two dogs, Bruin and Bessie. She was always willing to help others, often putting their needs before her own and going without so that someone else wouldn't have to.

She is survived by her son, Thomas McElhaney, Sharon; her daughter, Leah McElhaney, Catharpin, Va.; a brother, Edward Moats, Mich.; and three grandchildren, Tricia Scanlon, Breanna, and Marisa.

In addition to her husband, Patricia was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy McElhaney; three sisters, Joan, Mary, and Charlotte; and two brothers, Chuck and Harry.
