Warren, OH - With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Patricia (Patti) Ann DiGiacobbe (nee Toda), a lifelong resident of Warren, Ohio. Born on July 16, 1940, she was the cherished daughter of the late August and Minnie Toda.
On August 17, 1963, she married Alfred (Fred) DiGiacobbe. Together they built a beautiful life, grounded in faith and family. She was the devoted mother of Laura (Gary) DiGiacobbe, Tammi (Rudolph) Krafft, and Anthony (Chris) DiGiacobbe. Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren—Elena Schmitt (Andrew), Ali Krafft, Michael Krafft, John DiGiacobbe, Paul (Erin) DiGiacobbe, and Annamarie DiGiacobbe—and her precious great-grandchildren, Luka Schmitt and Nico DiGiacobbe.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Gus Toda and Richard Toda.
A woman of many passions, she found joy in gardening, cooking, and following sports—especially cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Her deep devotion to her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She especially loved planning holiday meals, pouring her heart into every dish and every detail. Her beautifully set tables always included her signature "table gifts" for the grandchildren at Christmas—a treasured tradition they will never forget. Her attention to detail in decorating and entertaining was truly Martha Stewart-worthy and made every gathering unforgettable. True to her Romanian heritage, she often said, "If you can't be strong, be stubborn," a phrase that embodied her quiet strength and determination.
A faithful and devoted member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, she found profound spiritual peace in worship, particularly moved by the beauty of the choir during the Lenten season.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at the Windsor House at O'Brien Memorial, with special thanks to Kyle for the loving care shown to our mother during her time at O'Briens.
She will be remembered for her strength, warmth, unwavering love, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her.
May her memory be eternal
