St. Simons Island, GA - Otto Steven Wagner, St. Simons Island, Ga., passed peacefully on Friday, July 24, 2025.

Born in Pichling, Austria, on Aug. 21, 1949, to Jacob and Elizabeth Wagner, Otto was raised in Sharon.

He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth (Michael) Costello; grandchildren, William and Nora, Marietta, Ga.; his sister, Monica Hanrahan and her family, West Middlesex; along with many dear friends and extended family around the world.

Mr. Wagner enjoyed a successful international career in shoe manufacturing and spent his leisure time fishing, gardening and cherishing time with friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Center for Coastal Conservation through The Environmental Resource Network at tern.homestead.com as well as to the sanctuary garden of Holy Nativity Episcopal Church, 615 Mallery St., St. Simons Island, GA 31522.

A service to celebrate Otto's life will be at 3 p.m. Sept. 20 at Holy Nativity Episcopal Church, St. Simons Island, Ga.
