Nicholas "Nick" Popovich, Orangeville, Ohio, passed away Friday evening, Oct. 25, 2024, in St. Joseph Health Center. He was 88.

He was born Dec. 16, 1935, in Sharon, the son of Nicholas Popovich Sr. and Margaret Zec Popovich.

He was a press operator at GATX in Masury for 25 years, then at Target Stamped Products in Kinsman for 12 years. After retirement, he still worked for Boyd's Kinsman Home as a driver.

Nick liked to travel with his family, to follow the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates and to build things.

He is survived by his wife, Lee B. Williams Popovich, whom he married Feb. 9, 1957; two daughters, Sheryl (Donald) Belanger and Brenda (James) Stemock, both Orangeville; a son, Nick T. (Dionne), Cortland; eight grandchildren, Noelle, Ashlee, Gabrielle, Erich, Bryson, Nicholas, Alexa and Aidan; and seven great-grandchildren, Killian, Kingsley, Lucy, Sullivan, Langston, Calvin and William.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lou Popovich.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations be sent to Dr. Lob Memorial Fund, 1211 Wilmington Ave., New Castle, PA 16105.
