Nancy Jane Bloom Regalski (Nancy) Obituary

Butler, Pennsylvania - Nancy Jane Bloom Regalski, 82, of Butler was surrounded by her family as she peacefully went home on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Nancy was born on Nov. 8, 1943, in Connoquenessing, Pa., to Leo A. and Ethel Ruth (Rose) Bloom. A 1961 graduate of Butler Area High School, she was active in FNA and was Worthy Advisor in the Meridian Rainbows. Nancy briefly attended Thiel College before joining the nursing program at Passavant and becoming a licensed practical nurse.

Family was extremely important to Nancy throughout her life. She married the love of her life, Richard Regalski Sr. on Feb. 8, 1975, and they welcomed three children — Christopher, Lisa and Jessica — during their marriage. Nancy became a stay-at-home mom after the birth of her first child and was a loving and involved mom to her kids throughout their entire lives.

She was over the moon when she became "Grammy'' to her beloved grandson Rhett Thomas and granddaughter Lillian Jane. Her extended family included many nieces and nephews and a large, close-knit group of cousins she grew up with. Though now scattered across the country, Nancy and her cousins stayed connected with phone calls, letters, and in recent years, monthly Zoom video chats that she looked forward to greatly.

Nancy enjoyed traveling with her family, whether it was a visit to the casino, a European trip with her daughter, or a trip to Punta Cana for her son's wedding. She loved shopping, whether browsing or buying, especially when picking out gifts for others. Nancy enjoyed watching Murder, She Wrote, the 1960s Perry Mason, and newer favorites like Port Protection and Swamp People. She loved books, loved reading, and most of all loved having her daughters read to her, especially the Harry Potter series and the Hannah Swensen cozy mysteries.

Nancy was a resident of St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars since early 2024, where the staff and other residents became like family. She was known for her kindness and warmth to everyone she met. Nancy enjoyed decorating her room for every season and holiday. While Bingo was her absolute favorite activity at St. John, Nancy loved activities and games of all varieties — bowling, balloon ball, cornhole, arts and crafts, and UNO were always marked with stars on her calendar, and she enjoyed many very long games of Phase 10 with her family.

Nancy Jane was an angel on earth, was deeply loved, and is already dearly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Richard Regalski Sr.; her children, Christopher Regalski and his wife Amanda; Lisa Hunt & her husband Bobby; and Jessica Sellers and her husband Mike; her grandchildren Rhett Thomas and Lillian Jane Regalski; and many cousins; nieces; and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo A. and Ethel Ruth Bloom, and her sister, Barbara Gordon.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Activities Department of St. John Specialty Care Center, 500 Wittenberg Way, Mars, Pa. 16046; or The Lighthouse Foundation, 116 Browns Hill Road, Valencia, Pa. 16059.
