Erie, Pa. - Monica C. Fritchman, Erie, Pa., formerly of Farrell, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, in her residence. She was 50.

Born Feb. 11, 1975, in Las Vegas, Nev., she was the daughter of Sally (Schenker) Ford, Hermitage, and step-daughter of the late Dennis Ford.

Monica was a graduate of Farrell High School and went on to Edinboro University, where she earned her Bachelors of Education Degree.

She took a teaching job with General McClain High School, where she taught French, Spanish and occasionally German for the last 28 years. She was also a cheerleading coach for several years.

In her spare time, Monica liked to travel and shop. She was a member of PSEA and served as a union steward.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her longtime companion Chris Haas, of Erie; and aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Preceding her in death were her stepfather, and both maternal and paternal grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the donor's choice.

Service: 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Anthony Kladitis officiating.
