New Wilmington, PA - Melinda Jane "MeMe" Holfelder, 69, of New Castle Road, New Wilmington, passed away at her residence on June 12, 2025.

Born in St. Louis, on May 30, 1956, she was the daughter of the late John Wilson Morris and Shirley Gilmore Morris.

She married John Paul Holfelder Jr., Aug. 19, 1978. He preceded her in death, Dec. 19, 2020.

MeMe graduated from Wilmington High School and Beaver County Community College. She was a Lab Technician for UPMC Jameson Hospital. She also worked for Weber Catering.

An active member of Neshannock Presbyterian Church, she was a Sunday School and Bible School teacher and a deacon of the church. She made beautiful doll houses as a hobby.

Survivors include a daughter, Annie Laurie Christy Holfelder, and her wife, Melissa, of the residence; two nieces, Rachael Holfelder and Sarah Hunt; a nephew, Joshua Tyler Hunt; and a brother-in-law, Kevin Holfelder, and his wife, Mary Ann of New Wilmington.

In addition to her parents and husband, MeMe was preceded in death by two sisters, Laurel Gilmore Hunt and Claudia Ann Gray.

Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Monday (6-16-2025) at the SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington, and 1 p.m. Tuesday (6-17-25) until time of service at Neshannock Presbyterian Church, New Wilmington.

Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday in the church with the Rev. Dr. Howard Gaston, pastor of the church, and Pastor Rebecca Rosengarth, of New Wilmington Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment: Fair Oaks Cemetery, New Wilmington.
