Sharon, Pennsylvania - May Louise Shockey, 64, of Sharon, passed away following a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, June 25, 2026, in UPMC Canterbury Place, Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Shockey was born on May 10, 1962, in North Versailles, Pa., a daughter of the late August Emil Adam Jr. and Pearl Louise (Porter) Adam. She was a graduate of East Allegheny High School, North Versailles.
A skilled cook, she worked for 21 years at Eat'n Park, McKeesport, Pa. May eventually retired from Speedway in Sharon.
May enjoyed gardening, playing bingo, camping, arts and crafts, riding motorcycles and was passionate about animals.
She is survived by her husband, Rodney Shockey, whom she married on Aug. 4, 2007; her dog, Bella; a sister, Bonnie Sue Sostaric; her mother-in-law, Marlene Shockey, of Hermitage; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, May was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Harold Shockey; a brother, August Emil Adam III; and a brother-in-law, Rico Sistaric.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, at UPMC Cancer Pavilion, Suite 1B, 5150 Centre Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15232.
