Mary Lou Fleming Obituary

Mary Lou Fleming, 89, of Hempfield Avenue, Hempfield Township, passed away at 5:37 a.m. May 6, 2024, in her residence, after an extended illness.

Mary was born on Jan. 12, 1935, to Samuel and Pearle (Davis) Stallsmith, in Greenville. Her father passed away when she was four years old and Arthur Runyon, a family friend, helped raise her.

She married Richard E. Fleming on Aug. 18, 1956. He passed away on her birthday, Jan. 12, 2009.

Mary loved animals, especially cats and dogs; listening to country music; gardening, taking one-day trips and watching Hallmark movies.

She is survived by one son, Gary L. Fleming and his wife Shelly; one daughter, Linda Fleming, of Greenville; three grandchildren, Kelly, Joshua and Stephanie Fleming, of Greenville; and three great-grandchildren, Brayden Richardson, Aria Fleming and Lennox Augustine, all of Greenville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three sisters, Betty Moyer, infant Ada Marie and June Black.

Visitation: 12 to 2 p.m. Friday (5-10-24) at OSBORNE-WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 73-75 Columbia Ave., Greenville.

Funeral service: 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Kent Bell officiating.

There will not be a processional to the cemetery.

Burial: Shenango Valley Cemetery, Greenville.
