Mary Elizabeth "Bish" Wood of Akron, OH formerly of Grove City went to her eternal home with the Lord and was peacefully reunited with her husband and sons on Saturday morning, June 9, 2018; she was 98.

Elizabeth was born in Clover Run, Clearfield Co., PA to Charles A. and Florence (Donahue) Korb on July 15, 1919. Having celebrated 62 years of marriage, she was married to Thomas B. Wood on April 1, 1939; he preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 2001.

She was a strong, loving and lasting influence for many as a mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. Her various jobs included that of homemaker, working at the Bashline Hospital and for Costello's Candies of Grove City. She was passionate about quilting and her family; she was the glue that connected so many. While in Grove City Elizabeth was a member of Tower Presbyterian Church. During her last years, in Akron with family, she had great pleasure from worshipping and volunteering; and was lovingly referred to as the "senior" intern at the Christ Community Chapel, Hudson, OH

A daughter-in-law, Marian Wood, Grove City, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Rose Skiles, Williamsburg, PA and Lois Sumey and husband Jack, Kent, OH survive Elizabeth. Her parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers, husband, 2 sons, Charles Bruce Wood and James Blair Wood, and a granddaughter, Patricia "Patty" Wood preceded Elizabeth in death.
