Mary Lou Evangline Altman, 83, of Grove City passed away at AHN-Grove City on June 4, 2024. She was born in Miami, Florida on Feb 3, 1941.
She graduated from Greensburg-Salem High School in Greensburg, Pa., and spent her
formative years there. A registered nurse by training, she enjoyed a remarkable career at United Community Hospital in Grove City, now AHN-Grove City. She enjoyed gardening, watching wildlife and working crossword puzzles.
Survivors include granddaughter Christina M. (Robert B. II) Garner of Severna Park, MD; great-grandson Robert B. Garner III; sisters Christine Mansour and Raphelia Spisso of Greensburg; and 2 brothers, Francis Spisso and Ron Spisso all of Greensburg.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Edna Mae Mitchell; a daughter, Amy Denise Dighello.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday (6-20-2024) [note the corrected date] at the SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1778 Perry Highway, Volant.
Funeral Service: 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home..
Interment: Volant Cemetery.
