Sharon, Pa. - Marilyn Bowen Morris, was born June 4, 1947, in Sharon, and passed away Nov. 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, devotion, and unwavering love for her family. She was 78.
Family was the center of her world, and she cared for each member with a depth of affection that shaped every part of her life.
Over the years, Marilyn held several clerical positions within West Middlesex schools and later worked at the Mercer County courthouse in the Clerk of Courts office. Her friendliness, organization, and genuine interest in people made her a natural fit wherever she worked.
Marilyn was wonderfully social and found joy in connecting with others. She was active in card clubs, the Red Hat Society, and the Democratic Women of Mercer County. She loved any kind of game ° especially cards — and was always ready to teach, challenge or cheer others on.
Marilyn enjoyed life's little thrills and the excitement of a good gamble, whether it was a friendly card game, a trip to the casino, or simply the anticipation of a lucky moment. For Marilyn, it wasn't just about winning, but about the camaraderie, the stories shared across the table, and the joy of a night well spent.
A born treasure hunter, Marilyn had a keen eye for jewelry and loved yard sales and thrift stores. She built a remarkable collection of costume jewelry that she cherished. She also journaled extensively, documenting family history, milestones, and everyday moments with care. Her dedication ensured that the stories of those she loved will be remembered for generations.
Known affectionately as "the fun aunt," Marilyn was immensely proud of her family, and she will be missed forever.
Marilyn is survived by her sister, Laverne Hofius and her husband Larry; her sister-in-law, Carol Eberhart and her husband Clark; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen F. Morris, whom she married Aug. 10, 1990; her brother, Lacell Bowen and his wife Lenor; her twin sister, Carolyn Muscarella and her husband Steve; and her niece, Lynette Zarilla.
Marilyn's spirit, laughter, and love will remain with all who were fortunate enough to know her.
