Margaret E. Long, 75, of Fredonia, Fairview Township. passed away Tuesday morning, June 25, 2024, at her residence with her family by her side.
She was born in Stoneboro, on Dec. 19, 1948, a daughter of the late Robert and Ann (Finney) White. She was married to Fred A. Long, who survives.
Margaret graduated from Lakeview High School, attended Thiel College, and received her bachelor of nursing degree from Penn State. She had previously been employed by Franklin Hospital and went on to be a registered nurse at the State Regional Correctional Facility, Mercer, from where she retired.
She is survived by her husband, Fred; three sons, Ron (Patty) McMullen, Jr., Meadville, Kevin (Stacey) McMullen, Fredonia and Michael (Tammie) McMullen, Sr., Fredonia; a sister, Beth White, N.C.; a brother, Robert (Cheri) White, ID; six grandchildren, Crystal McMullen, Jacob (Tess) McMullen, Jared Johns, Shawness (Eric) Shaver, Michael (Chelsea) McMullen, Jr., and Alex (Alex) Zappia; five great-grandchildren, Kenslee and Madison McMullen and Lydia, Ronan and Callum McMullen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Suzanne Metro and Mary Jane Czerniawski.
Visitation: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday (6-28-2024) at ROBERT L. SNYDER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 3223 Perry Highway, Sheakleyville.
Funeral service: 2 p.m. Friday (6-28-2024) at the funeral home
Interment: Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake.
