Margaret "Peg" Kavulla, 95, formerly of Hermitage, passed away on Saturday (March 24, 2018) at The Ridgewood at Shenango Valley.
Born on March 10, 1923, in Farrell, Margaret was the daughter of the late Vasile and Mary Poranda Kavulla.
Margaret retired from Westinghouse in 1986 after 40 years as a production clerk.
A member of St. John's Orthodox Church, Margaret enjoyed making pirohi with the pirohi crew.
She liked to travel and visited Europe. Margaret was an avid reader, and she also enjoyed ceramics.
Margaret is survived by: several nieces and nephews, including locally, Cyndy (Steve) Saluga and their sons, Michael and David, of Hermitage, John (Margherita) Kavulla of Poland, Ohio, and Michael (Debbie) Kavulla and their children, Ava, Anna and Louis, of Sharpsville; and a sister, Ann St. Armond of Virginia.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by: two brothers, Michael and John Kavulla; and two sisters, Mary Kaszas and Helen DeMay.
Her family would like to thank the staff at The Ridgewood at Shenango Valley, Sharon Regional Hospice and Palliative Care and the Care Partners from St. Paul's Without Walls for the wonderful care and love they gave to Peg.
Memorial contributions can be made to Sharon Regional Hospice, the Ridgewood at Shenango Valley or to St. John's Orthodox Church Cemetery Fund.
KAVULLA

Calling hours: 10 a.m. to noon Monday (3-26-18) at St. John's Orthodox Church, 3180 Morefield Road, Hermitage.
Funeral: Noon Monday at the church with Fr. David Mastroberte.
Interment: St. John's Orthodox Cemetery.
