Margaret Helen Bartolin
Margaret Helen Bartolin, 91, of Palm Bay, Fla., passed away peacefully Tuesday (Nov. 19, 2019) at William Child Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family after an extended illness.
She was born in Zanesville, Ohio, Jan. 25, 1928, to Bernice Allwood Escover and John Escover.
After her family moved to Brookfield in 1938, she attended Brookfield schools, where she graduated as class valedictorian.
She was a legal secretary at the law offices of Leo Luchette in Brookfield.
She was a devout Catholic at Sacred Heart Church and school.
Margaret married her high school sweetheart, Harry W. Bartolin, on June 19, 1948. They were married 71 years at the time she rested.
She dedicated her life to raising her five sons and loving her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Margaret and Harry retired to Florida in 1989 to be closer to their grandchildren. She spent many years there devoting her time to schools, helping children to read and volunteering at churches.
She is survived by: her husband of 71 years, Harry; sisters, Bernice Stillings and Rita Motter of California; three sons, Larry and his wife, Joan, of Hartford, James and his wife, Janice, of Raleigh, N.C., and Matt and his wife, Donna, of Palm Bay; daughter-in-law, Darla of Masury; five grandchildren, Jessica, Jeff, Sean, Tristan and Colin; and six great-grandchildren David, Calvin, Alex, Annika, Quinn and Sutton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: two sisters, Louise and Lorraine; one infant brother, John Patrick; and sons, Bill and Mark.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to William Child Hospice House, 381 Medplex Parkway, Palm Bay, FL 32907.
A celebration of life will be held on Jan. 24, 2020, at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 265 Polk Ave,, Cape Canaveral, Fla.
