A funeral service will be held Monday for Mamie Kitt of 904 Wallis Ave., Farrell. She passed away at 8:35 a.m. Wednesday (4-27-11) in Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren, Ohio. She was 75. Mrs. Kitt was born July 4, 1935, in Patrick, S.C., to Archie A. and Emma Mae McClain McQueen. She attended South Carolina schools. Mrs. Kitt worked as a cleaning lady for the Willson family and their former furniture store in Sharon. As a member of Second Baptist Church in Farrell, she sang in the choir; and served as an usher, with the Missionary Society and with the Flower Fund. Mrs. Kitt enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with the children and grandchildren. Her husband, Charles H. Kitt, whom she married Oct. 25, 1949, passed away July 25, 1964. Surviving are: four daughters, Ernestine Mallory, Eleanora Kitt-Samuels, Linda S. Kitt-Craig; and Darlene Kitt-Mitchell and her husband Kevin, all Farrell; three sons, Charlie H. Kitt, Sharon; and Rickey L. Kitt; and Anthony W. Kitt and his wife Letha, all Farrell; a sister, Elar McQueen, Patrick; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Besides her husband, Mrs. Kitt was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Archie A. Kitt; and a grandson, Kadejah Mallory. KITT Mrs. Charles H. (Mamie), 75, of 904 Wallis Ave., Farrell.
