Lois Wanita Chandler (Wanita) Obituary

Lois "Wanita" Wanita Chandler, 92, passed away early Tuesday morning, March 11, 2025, at her residence.

She was born in Greenville on May 28, 1932, a daughter to the late Don and Hellen (Osborn) Vosler. On May 18, 1956, she married James Albert Chandler, who preceded her in death.

Wanita was a proud mother and grandmother of four children, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She had been employed for many years as a receptionist at the Greenville Medical Center, where she retired.

She attended the Grove City Alliance Church and was a regular volunteer for MOPS. Mrs. Chandler was also instrumental in starting a women's quilting group making baby quilts for the underprivileged.

She loved the Lord, was a devoted mother and grandmother, wonderful baker and had a very green thumb when it came to growing anything in her garden and floral beds and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Mark Jay (Kimberly) Chandler, Houston, Texas; Paul Andrew (Jacqueline) Chandler, Jackson Center; and Elaine Carol (Bill) Cupic, Mercer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; a son, Jay Edwin Chandler; a sister, Opal Benninger; and three brothers, Neal Vosler, Gail Vosler, and Glen Vosler.
