Linda E. Ferguson
Linda E. Ferguson, Masury, entered into eternal rest Saturday (March 21, 2020) while a patient in the emergency room of Sharon Regional Medical Center, Sharon, following a sudden illness. She was 73.
Linda was born at home in Sandy Lake, on Aug. 11, 1946, a daughter of Donald J. and Jennie H. (Smith) Smith.
She was a 1964 graduate of Lakeview High School, Sandy Lake, and had worked 20 plus years as a training coordinator for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, Boyers. Most recently,she worked as a secretary at Family Healthcare, Mercer.
In her spare time, she enjoyed being a believer in Christ, volunteering for church work, helping out in the food pantry, and ringing the bell for the local Salvation Army Red Kettle drives.
In addition,she loved traveling when she could, reading a good book, dancing with her husband, and tending to her garden.
She is survived by: her husband, James E. Ferguson, whom she married March 31, 2001; children, Mary J. Scott-Herring (David), Whitehall, Md., and Bartholomew J. Scott (Elizabeth), Miami; beloved grandson, Bartholomew Herring; sister, Margaret "Peggy" Martin (David), Coraopolis, Pa.; and her extended family.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Bartholomew "Irish" J. Scott; and siblings, James, Elmer, Ronald Smith, Katherine Eckart, Shirley Rodermond and Eunice Irwin.
As suggested by her family, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association of your area.

I had the fortunate opportunity to become friends with Linda through mutual employment. What a lovely, special lady she was! She had a unique way of lifting my spirits with her positive attitude, fun anecdotal stories, & complete genuineness :)
She will be missed!
