Hermitage, Pennsylvania - Leah Catherine (Adams) Saylor, 92, of The Addison at Garden Way in Hermitage, passed away on May 31, 2026.

She was born on Sept. 1, 1933, in Bedford County to the late Clifford and Bertha Adams. On Sept. 2, 1949, she married George Saylor, who preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 2022, after 72 years of marriage.

Leah was raised in Buffalo Mills, PA, and later moved to Fishertown, Pa. It was there that she and her husband raised their three children, with family always at the center of their lives.

The family relocated to Hermitage in 1973 after George was transferred with Interstate Trucking Company. Once the children were adults, Leah returned to work and spent 25 years at JCPenney before retiring.

Leah enjoyed cheering for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers, but most of all, she loved supporting her grandchildren in their activities.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry (April) Saylor of West Middlesex and Doug (Bev) Saylor, of New Wilmington; a daughter, Lisa (Allan) Banjak of Carlisle; five grandchildren, Cory (Katie) Saylor, Ashburn, VA, Jacey (Paul) Brown, of Byron Center, MI, Erika Taylor, of New Wilmington, Lauri (Matt) Data, of New Castle, and Ali (Joe) Banjak Kristofco, of Furquay Varina, N.C.; seven great-grandchildren, Avery and Sierra Saylor, Dylan Brown, Jacob and Anna Taylor, and Braden and Ellie Data; and one brother-in-law, Ned Weaver, of Lewisburg.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Chad Banjak; a grandson-in-law, Chad Taylor; and two sisters, Doris Perdew and Phyllis Slack.

The family would like to thank the aides at Garden Way and Anova Healthcare for their kindness and care.

A private family service will be held at The Smith Funeral Home in West Middlesex, with Tom Wilson officiating.
