Keith E. Smith, 66, of New Castle, went to meet his Lord and Savior on July 18, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Born April 30, 1957, in New Castle, he was a son of the late Wallace and Doris Watson Smith.

He married the former Melinda Nicholson on Nov. 24, 1979. She survives at home.

Mr. Smith belonged to the Tetelestai Church in New Kensington since 1984.

He had worked as a welder at Precision Feedscrews and New Castle Feedscrews, of which he was part owner.

Keith enjoyed going to car shows and was particularly proud of his 1972 Buick Skylark (The "Bad Apple"), which he owned since his 1976 graduation from Lawrence County Vo-Tech. He had a passion for working on cars, including auto body and painting.

He also enjoyed bingo with his wife, Myrtle Beach vacations with his family, working with his hands and building model cars.

A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Keith was a man of faith who put God first in all he did.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Christa Smith (Dustin Beaver) of Cahone, Colo., Jamie Allen of Hillsboro, Tenn., and Brent (Amy) Smith of New Castle; nine grandchildren, Makailey Shaffer, whom he raised as a daughter, Matthew Smith, Emma Allen, Waylon Beaver, Lily Beaver, Joe Beaver, Brady Smith, Annalyse Smith and Addyson Smith; one great-grandson, Cole Smith; a brother, Neal Smith (Leslie) of New Wilmington; and a sister, Sandy Irwin (Dan) of New Castle.

Honoring his wishes, there will be no visitation. A private graveside service for family is planned. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
