Masury, OH - Joseph "Bungo" Varga, 77, formerly of West Middlesex and Hubbard, Ohio, passed away July 27, 2025, at Addison Health Care Center, Masury, Ohio.

He was born on April 3, 1948, in West Middlesex to the late Joseph and Margaret Baumgartner Varga.

He married Jackie Glancy on July 23, 1973, and she survives at Quality Life Services, New Castle.

Joe retired from Sharon Steel and was a member of the American Legion.

He was a life member of the Shenango Township Volunteer Fire Department, where he formerly served as a fire chief.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie; one son, Joseph (Maureen) Varga of West Middlesex; two daughters, Joanna (Mark) Platteborze of Sharpsville; and Jennifer (Michael) Burton of Hubbard, Ohio; and seven grandchildren who complete the family.

Visitation: 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday (8-5-25) at the SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 3126 Main St., West Middlesex.

Funeral service: 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Fr. Glenn Whitman, pastor of Church of the Good Shepherd, will officiate.

Interment: Holy Trinity Cemetery, following the service.
