Jackson Center, PA - Joseph C. Rodgers, 76, of Jackson Center, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh.
Joe was born on Dec. 25, 1948, in Mercer to Joseph Lee and Mildred Louise (Carlson) Rodgers.
Joe was a 1967 graduate of Lakeview High School.
After graduation, he served in the Army during Vietnam from June 1967 through March 1970 as a specialist E-5.
Joe was a self-employed farmer and truck driver, as well as a dock worker.
Surviving are his wife, Oretha Denise (McMillen) Rodgers, whom he married on Oct. 8, 1973; three children, Rebecca (Renee) Ramage in Fair Play, S.C.; Rachel Rodgers in Perkasie, Pa.; and Richard (Jodi) Rodgers in Jackson Center; six grandchildren, Alexander Goglia, Kaitlyn Goglia, Brandon Goglia, Lona Sommers, Denna Sommers and Joseph Rodgers; and two sisters, Margaret (Gerald) Kishbaugh in Jackson Center and Emma Jane (Eugene) Kishbaugh in Laceyville, Pa.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Thelma Gruber, Ruth Marie Meese, Velma Rodgers and Louise Rodgers.
