John Edwards Williams, 79, of North Cedar Street, New Castle, went to be with the Lord, on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle.

He was born on Dec. 11, 1943, in Mercer, Pa., a son of the late William F. and Blanche (Linn) Williams.

Mr. Williams was the owner and operator of Jesus Loves You Hauling for over 50 years.

He was a member of First Assembly of God, where he was a member of the board of director. He loved his church, bible study, and went on mission trips to Haiti and Israel. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and will be remembered as a great dad and granddad.

He was survived by two children, Krista K. Williams and John C. Williams and his wife Rita, both of New Castle; one brother, William F. Williams of Slippery Rock; one sister, Patricia E. Skiff of Greenville, Pa.; and four grandchildren, David J. Sadler, Austin Duffee, Nathan Duffee and Beverly Henry.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah J. (Bright) Williams, who died June 4, 2009, his second wife, Patty (Richardson) Williams, who died May 2, 2014; and one brother, Charles Williams.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2023, at the William F. and Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave., New Castle.

A funeral service will be celebrated at noon Friday, April 21, 2023, at First Assembly of God Church 2021 Pulaski Road, New Castle PA 16105. Pastor Stephen DeSantis will officiate. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:30 a.m.

Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.
