Anyone who knew John, loved John.

He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, but the title that held a special place in his heart was "Coach."

He spent almost 40 years coaching basketball and soccer for HCYL, St. Patrick's School, and Hubbard High School. Coach Chovan truly adored all of his players and loved to inspire them with his specialized quotes.

In addition to his beloved wife, his memory will be carried on by his three daughters, Nicole (Matt) Murphy of Hubbard, Megan (Ryan) Mathieu of Plum, Pa., and Michelle (Bob) Wyant of Thompson, Ohio; and his nine grandchildren, whom he often spoke about, Sophie, Heidi, Claire, Corinne, Brooke, Bobby, Brandon, Matthew, and Aubrey; his sister, MaryAnne Bajorek of Sharpsville; his brother, Rick (Linda) Chovan of New Brighton, Pa.; and his brother and best friend, Bob (Patti) Chovan of Sharpsville.
