Mercer, PA - John Allen Bourne, 57, of Mercer, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

John was born on May 28, 1968, in Sharon, to George and Janet Bourne. He graduated from Hickory High School in 1986.

John worked at Preston Trucking until 1992. He later worked for the Smuckers Co. until his retirement in 2023.

John loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and playing golf. He also loved the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He cherished spending time with his family and friends, and nothing brought him more joy than being with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Kendra Bourne (Tony), of Sharon; son, John Bourne (Audrey), of Minnesota; mother, Janet Counts; father, George Bourne; sister, Jill Stainbrook (Cory); brother, Jerry Bourne (Mary); and his three beloved grandchildren, Shane, Avery, and Giovanni.

John will be deeply missed by all who knew and love him.
