Jane Ann Dunn, 89, of Grove City, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025. A beloved mother and grandmother, Jane will always be remembered for her sense of humor, kindness and strength of character.
Born Oct. 13, 1935, in Slippery Rock, Jane was the daughter of James and Beatrice Allen, and sister to twins, Jim Allen and Sally Alben.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LaVern (Bun) Dunn.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cindy Hyatt, Grove City, and Cheryl Henry, Tomball, Texas; son Bradley Dunkle, Charlotte, N.C.; stepsons Eric Dunn, North Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Bill Dunn, Georgetown, Del.; and stepdaughter Sandy Mowry, Mercer. Jane has 10 grandchildren.
Jane graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 1953 and attended Slippery Rock University for 1 year. Jane worked as the attendance clerk for the Slippery Rock school system for more than 25 years until she retired in 2000, but her first job was working in her grandfather's general store on Main Street in Slippery Rock.
After retirement she volunteered many hours at the Salvation Army and loved to bake cookies for everyone.
Jane and Bun were members of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and will live on in our hearts forever.
