James Corner Obituary
James Thomas Corner, 89, of Meadville, passed away Friday (Oct. 19, 2018).
Jim was born in Leesburg Station on April 10, 1929, a son of Edward and Irene (Wright) Corner.
In 1953 Jim married Eleanor Emig; she preceded him in death.
After 39 years with the railroad, Jim retired in 1992.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing his guitar.
Jim is survived by: two children Ralph Corner and Karen Corner, both of Meadville; two sisters; and a brother.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; his step-mother, Gladys Rice Corner; and brothers John and Harold Corner.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty St. or Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute, 16792 Conneaut Lake Road, both in Meadville, PA 16335.
