New Wilmington, PA - Jacob N. Bakuhn, 93, of New Wilmington, passed away on July 18, 2025, at UPMC Horizon Hospital, with his wife by his side.

Born on Dec. 29, 1931, in Scott Township, Lawrence County, to the late Jacob and Mary Kopsky Bakuhn. He married Audrey Miklinski, and she survives at the residence.

Jacob attended Westminster College and earned his BS from Youngstown State University.

He retired from JB Mill as an independent sales contractor of industrial lumber. He also worked for Universal Rundle and Union Carbide as the transportation manager.

He served his country in the Army and was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd.

Jacob was meticulous about his lawn care and enjoyed sharing potatoes grown from his garden.

He loved reading, traveling, walking his dog, and going dancing with his wife, Audrey. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors in addition to his wife Audrey, include four daughters, Karen (Andrew) Clark of Hurst, Texas; Wendy (Steve) McPherson of Brookville, Pa.; Tawnee (David) Hunter of New Wilmington; and Amy (Richard) Crawshaw of Gettysburg; one sister, Jacqueline (Thomas) Santillo of Volant; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Six grandsons will serve as pallbearers and six of his granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In addition to his parents, Jacob is preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Offredo, Jennie (George) Alick, Evelyn Gorgacz and Lenore Bakuhn.

Funeral Mass of Christian burial: 11 a.m. Friday (7-25-25) at Church of the Good Shepherd, New Castle Road, West Middlesex. Fr. Glenn Whitman will officiate.

Interment: Fair Oaks Cemetery, New Wilmington.
