New Wilmington, PA - Jack Zachary Hanes, 90, of New Castle Road, New Wilmington, passed away Oct. 12, 2025, at St. Paul Homes, Greenville.

Jack was born on Jan. 18, 1935, in Greenville, to the late Zachary and Helen Libenciuc Hanes.

He married Judith Lee Neely on May 4, 1957, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 10, 2008.

Jack was a 1953 graduate of Greenville High School and he served his country in the Army Reserves.

He was co-owner, with his wife Judith Hanes, of Hanes Inc., which was known as Hanes True Value Hardware and Hanes Farm Service, and later as owners of Double Tree Driving Range, all of New Wilmington.

Jack was an active New Wilmington Rotary member, a member of the Shenango Valley Antique Car Club and a longtime member of the New Wilmington Presbyterian Church, where he participated in many mission trips to the Dominican Republic.

Jack enjoyed playing cards at the Senior Center in Hermitage, where he met his fiancé, Kay Goodrick.

Survivors include a daughter, Leigh Ann (James) McGuirk of New Wilmington; a son, Christopher (Mary Courtney) Hanes of Philadelphia; and four grandchildren who complete the family, Nicole and Dylan McGuirk and Mary Catherine and Michael Hanes.

In addition to his parents and wife, Jack is preceded in death by a sister, Olivia DeMaria; and a brother, Wallace Hanes.
