Naples, FL - In Loving Memory of Iris Arlene Mercer Minner

Iris Arlene Mercer Minner, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and grace.

Born to the late George William Mercer and Edna Belleville Mercer, Iris grew up in a loving home alongside her sister, Lil Anne Evans, and her brother, William Lyle Mercer. She graduated from West Middlesex High School in Pennsylvania in the class of 1959. Following her graduation, she went on to enjoy a successful and fulfilling career in banking, where her dedicated work ethic and warm personality shone brightly.

On May 25, 1963, Iris married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Allen Minner. Together, they built a beautiful life defined by devotion, partnership, and unconditional love.

Iris was a deeply devoted mother to her children: Margaret Anne Heidenreich (Lance), Michael Thomas Minner (Jody), and Megan Elizabeth Edwards.

Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her eight wonderful grandchildren who affectionately knew her as "Gigi." She showered Hannah, Holly, and Hope Heidenreich, Cally, Lucy, and Thomas Minner, Sergei, and Marina Edwards with endless love, pride, and affection, creating memories they will cherish forever.

Iris was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Order of the Eastern Star, several bridge clubs and enjoyed many days as a member of the Royal Palm Golf Club.

She embraced life's simple pleasures with an open heart. Iris could often be found dancing, playing a lively game of bridge, working on her beautiful needlepoint creations, or enjoying a day of shopping. She was also an avid golfer who loved spending sunny days on the course.

Iris lived a full and vibrant life, bringing joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her bright spirit, elegant nature, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Lely Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. June 20, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Iris's memory to the Lely Presbyterian Church, 110 Saint Andrews Blvd, Naples, FL 34113.
