Helen N. Stevenson, 95, of Hermitage, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024, in Addison of Garden Way Place, Hermitage.
Helen was born in West Middlesex April 11, 1929, to Perry (Patton) and Virgie Likens.
She was a graduate of Hickory High School Class of 1948.
On Aug. 14, 1948, she married her husband, the late Rev. John W. "Jack" Stevenson, who passed away March 14, 2015.
She was a member of New Virginia Methodist Church in Hermitage.
Helen loved time with her family, especially being a homemaker and taking care of her five children. In her spare time, she enjoyed completing word puzzles.
Helen is survived by her two daughters, Norene Stevenson of Hermitage and Marie (Rick) Schreyer of Williamsburg, Va.; two sons, Hugh M. (Arleen) Stevenson of Hermitage and John W. Stevenson of Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Virgie Likens; husband, the Rev. John W. "Jack" Stevenson; daughter, Esther Fleet; and sisters, Violet Stainbrook and Elizabeth Patton.
