Helen Marie (Alexander) Rose Obituary
Helen Marie (Alexander) Rose, 85, of Stoneboro, Pa., entered her eternal rest early Saturday morning, Feb. 10, 2024, with her family by her side.
Helen was born Dec. 24, 1938, in Greenville. She came from a large family and her early days were filled with memories of a one room schoolhouse, lots of fun on the farm, and spending time with family and friends.
She was a 1956 graduate of Lakeview High School.
Helen married Darrell William Rose on March 27, 1959.
After high school, she worked as a bookkeeper for Lucas Pontiac in Greenville and in the mid-1970s through early 1980s for the Stoneboro Wesleyan School.
Also, for nearly 20 years, she worked as an aide in the Lakeview School District.
Helen loved baking, cooking, and serving in the women's ministry at church, singing, and enjoyed working in the yard. She will be particularly remembered, especially by her grandchildren, for her famous delicious cinnamon rolls.
At an early age, Helen accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior. For over 75 years, she faithfully walked with Jesus.
She attended the Oak Grove Church all of her life and enjoyed serving in a number of capacities during her adult years. In 2016, Helen was recognized for 52 years of volunteer service as church treasurer.
